JOIN CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK FOR BIKE YOUR PARK DAY Cheyenne Mountain State Park is organizing a bike expo with guided rides and workshops for a national event celebrating bicycling in parks and public lands. If you’ve ever wanted to explore Cheyenne Mountain State Park on two wheels, now’s your chance. Cheyenne Mountain State Park (CMSP) is partnering with several Springs area bicycle partners and invites the public to join us Bike Your Park Day for information, clinics, presentations, and rides on September 30, 2017 from 9am - 2 pm. This is a national event that encourages people to explore nearby parks and public lands by bicycle on the same day. There will be opportunities for all ages, skill levels, and capabilities. This will be the Colorado Springs area bicycling event of the year, so don’t miss it! The event is free to attend with a valid state parks pass ($7/day or $70 annual per vehicle). Various clubs, bike shops, professional riders, and others will be available throughout the day to answer your questions, introduce you to the latest bicycle trends, and help you have a fun day. They will be out to discuss how you can get involved and their journey to enhancing the bike experience. •Pals and Paintbrushes: Teaching you how to paint your bike art with small painting project •John Duprey eBikes: DEMOS Will be around to talk with you about eBikes and will be bringing a demo fleet out for you to try •Mountain Equipment Recyclers: This local shop gives back to the community as well! About the nationally celebrated Bike Your Park Day: Last year, over 11,000 people in all 50 states and 10 countries participated in the inaugural Bike Your Park Day. Adventure Cycling Association, a nonprofit bicycling organization, coordinates the event nationally, and expects a bigger turnout this year. Bike Your Park Day also coincides with National Public Lands Day, and participants are encouraged to take part in service projects.
